Shoes

As a little kid I never really cared about shoes. I wore whatever my mom told me to wear and I did not care. As I grew up I learned to not care at all about shoes, I would pick one favorite pare of shoes and wear them every day until they were so worn out my mom would make me get rid of them. This year I have gained a strong addiction to shoes. I love heels! All different kinds of heels. I love to wear them and I love to have a different pair to match every outfit. Even though I love shoes I am still very frugal and I only buy shoes on sale so that they are worth the price!

feedback

Peer reviewing in the past have often been very unhelpful. This time I received quite a bit of feedback. The most difficult part of this project are the twenty footnotes. The feed back from the peer reviewers are very helpful with the footnotes. It is very important to look at small details when writing papers or doing any sort of projects. The feed back on my footnotes are going to be the most helpful comments. I was very confused when writing citing the footnotes so I like having different input on what looks wrong and what looks correct.

donuts

College is full of work work and more work. Well actually, with me and my friends it's more like talk, work, giggle, work, get distracted, work, take a break to get  donuts then come back to hopefully finish the assignments before class the next morning. We had heard of this donut place called Sweetwaters but never really thought to go check it out. One night we decided to head out and see what it was all about. It was the greatest thing ever! Fresh donuts in a family environment that are only 85 cents! It has become our new favorite spot. Today our goal was to finish our homework and reward ourself with a donut but instead we are taking a break to go get donuts and hoping to possibly finish our homework later.

Annotated Bibliography: Columbine

Miller, Melissa. “I Survived the Columbine High School Shooting.” Scholastic Scope 6 Sept. 1999:18-      20. Print.

This article is a student who was in the parking lot of the school when the first shot was fired. She tells what she saw and what she did in the situation and how she feels about the shooting. She saw the first shots, the pipe bombs exploding, her friend shot and laying on the ground, the shooters and kids running from the school. She tells her story and tells the readers how they can get over difficulties without violence. This is a good piece for the paper because it is a primary source, it tells the things she saw and also how she felt.

Trust

People always say it is harder to gain trust than it is to lose it. I never realized how true that statement was until I was put in a situation dealing with trust. I was in a situation where I quickly lost trust for a person and I figured it would blow over but it really has not. You can forgive the person for what they did but you will never forget the way they hurt you. Even if you try to move on and just forget about the situation every time something is similar to the situation you think about it.Everytime you have to trust that person even for something completely different you get reminded of the situation. Sometimes I question is it going to be the awkward no trust situation it is now or will it someday fade away?

Proposal

My historical event is the Columbine High School Massacre. I will take the point of view of a student. The student I will be portraying will be a senior girl of Columbine High School. The girl's name is Addison Heights. Addison Heights has long read hair. She has fair skin which burns easily in the sun and her face turns red so quickly on embarrassment. She is a fun loving young woman. Addison has a younger sister who she would do anything to protect. Addison's sister's name is Alex Heights. Both Addison and Alex are dancers, their mother is very involved with their dance lives and they spend a majority of their free time at the dance studio. Addison is on the Columbine Varsity Cheer Team this year and her younger sister Alex is in the school's junior varsity Pom team. Addison's little sister Alex is a freshman this year and Addison has done a great job looking out for her sister and making sure her first year at the high school is a good one. Addison is outgoing when she is with someone she knows but when she is all alone she can be quiet and shy. She loves to make people laugh an all of her friends love to laugh with her. Addison is such a loving person who cares about everyone and their feelings. When Addison gets upset whether it is because someone is mad at her or because someone else is upset she has a hard time holding back get tears. Addison is such a sweetheart and is known for just walking up to her friends and telling them they are beautiful or telling then how much she loves them. She just has this special way of lighting up the room. Why I know about the Columbine High School Massacre is that two boy students brought guns into be school and killed twelve students and one teacher. I don't know many details about the event but I think I need to learn the background of the boys, why they attacked tw school, what the authorities did in the situation and how the day happened.

Judgements

How many times have you heard people say "don't judge a book by it's cover" or "don't judge others" or "don't judge a situation if your not in it"? I understand where people are coming from when they say that but I don't fully agree with it. I agree with the idea of not making final judgments on a person at first impression and never getting to know them because of that. The part I do not agree with is the simple line of don't pass judgments. People as human nature judge things. Everytime you see a person you judge them, everytime you hear a song you judge it, everytime you eat a meal you judge it, I could go on and on, the main point, we judge on a daily basis. Judgements don't have to be bad though, you have to judge to make an opinion and lets face it everyone has there opinions. We need to accept the fact that we all make judgements just try not to make a bad judgement your final opinion before you really know a situation.

Music

Everybody listens to music. Everyone has their own styles and genres they like and everyone's picks are always a little bit different for each other's. Music is made from the soul for the soul. There are so many songs, about anything you could ever think about. One of my favorite things about music is that there are songs for my every mood. Somedays I like to listen to happy music somedays I like to listen to sad music, sometimes I love listening to old songs I used to love and just remenescing on all the memories that songs hold for me. I love that the singer writes a song because of a memory or a feeling they have but I can listen to the same song and it can mean a completely different thing to me. My absoult favorite thing about music is dancing to it. You can feel so much from just listening to a song but you can express all of that and more by dancing to it.
