Miller, Melissa. “I Survived the Columbine High School
This article is a
student who was in the parking lot of the school when the first shot was fired.
She tells what she saw and what she did in the situation and how she feels
about the shooting. She saw the first shots, the pipe bombs exploding, her
friend shot and laying on the ground, the shooters and kids running from the
school. She tells her story and tells the readers how they can get over
difficulties without violence. This is a good piece for the paper because it is
a primary source, it tells the things she saw and also how she felt.
